DRaX (Dual Redundant ActiveX) is a software application that allows implementation of dual redundant Wonderware InTouch system.
These systems are also sometimes called ´hot-backup´ or ´hot-standby´ systems. In such systems, there are two InTouch servers able to provide data, namely ´Master´ and ´Standby´ (hot backup). If the Master fails then client applications will receive valid data from the backup server (Standby).
The main advantages of DRaX are simple configuration and ease of use. Using DRaX you can save many hours because you don´t need to script the required functionality. With DRaX you are just create four reserved tags and import a simple condition script. DRaX covers the rest.
DRaX supports systems with multiple pairs of Master/Standby pairs as well as systems running on terminal services.
DRaX is an excellent complementary product to our TOP Server and OPC Server Manager. TOP Server provides the I/O Server communications to your DRaX enabled InTouch nodes and OPC Server Manager enables the TOP Server to handle redundant I/O Server to device networks/connectivity. DRaX handles redundant InTouch Nodes and InTouch networks making the products a great team for mission critical redundant applications.
When you purchase this item you get a license to run DRaX on your two InTouch Server nodes. You will also need to purchase DRaX client licenses for each InTouch View node that will connect to the DRaX enabled InTouch server nodes.

- Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 SP6a or higher (except Terminal Services) or
- Microsoft Windows 2000 SP3 (including Terminal Services)
